About Jeremy :: Reel Breakdown
Jeremy is a Boston based VFX/CG artist with strong experience working on several feature films, short films and commercials. While working on Disney’s “The Proposal” as a rotoscope/paint artist, Jeremy cut mattes for background replacement and color correction, and performed ‘finishing touch’ paint work to bring shots from 95% to 100%. Working on Disney’s “Surrogates” as a CG artist, Jeremy modeled, shaded, lit and rendered elements for use by compositors to integrate into live action film. Jeremy has also worked on numerous short films and commercials as a technical director and generalist, creating robust character rigs for animators, writing shaders and automation tools for custom production pipelines and building and administering render farms.

- Shot 01: Rotoscoped mattes for Sandra’s skin to be used for color correction by the lead compositor.
- Shot 02: Rotoscoped mattes for both characters for background replacement. Painted on top of comp to repair keying errors in extreme motion blurred areas.
- Shot 03: Rotoscoped mattes for both characters for background replacement. Painted and tracked in small hairs to bring back detail that was lost after background replacement.
- Shot 04: Painted the splash in front of the boat after the lead compositor removed the wake in front of the boat.
- Shot 05: Rotoscoped mattes for parts of all three charaters for background replacement. Rotoscoping was done in collaboration with two other rotoscope artists.

- Shot 01: Modeled, shaded, lit and rendered various CG satellite dishes and roof ornaments as lead CG artist. Prepared rendered elements for lead compositor.
- Shot 02: Modeled, shaded, lit and rendered various CG satelite dishes and roof ornaments as lead CG artist. Prepared rendered elements for lead compositor and performed finishing touch paint work.
All rotoscoping was done using Silhouette FX’s Silhouette. All compositing and paint was done using The Foundry’s Nuke. All CG work was done using Autodesk Maya.
